Overview

Calvin Bay is on Nootka Island, on the wild west coast of Vancouver Island. Accessible only by boat or floatplane from Gold River. This west-facing spot receives direct Pacific swells. One of BC's most remote and wild spots. Nootka Island is a historic site — first European contact on Canada's west coast (Captain Cook, 1778).
