The spot faces northwest toward the lake's immensity. Conditions can be oceanic with significant waves. Wild and spectacular Canadian Shield landscape.
Lake Superior fresh water — cold year-round (8-16°C even in summer). Flat to very rough. Sand and rock bottom. Virtually unlimited fetch (lake is 560 km long). 2m+ waves frequent in strong wind. Conditions comparable to the sea.
