Belle River West Beach sits on the south shore of Lake St. Clair, in the community of Belle River (Lakeshore). The beach faces north with moderate fetch across this small, shallow lake. Lake St. Clair connects Lake Huron to Lake Erie.
Municipal parking. Sandy beach, easy launch. The lake is very shallow (average depth 3 m), making it ideal for beginners and intermediates. Warm water from early summer.

Very shallow water — risk of hitting bottom with the fin. Heavy recreational boat traffic. Variable water quality — possible algae in late summer. Currents near Belle River mouth.
