Thorah Centennial Park sits on Lake Simcoe's east shore near Beaverton. The beach faces west with good fetch across the lake (about 25 km). Lake Simcoe is the fourth-largest lake entirely within Ontario.
Municipal park with parking and facilities. Sand beach launch. West and northwest winds are most favorable. The lake freezes in winter, allowing snowkite on the ice.
