Kitesurf spot on Lac Matapédia, in the Matapédia Valley in interior Gaspésie. This large elongated lake is nestled in the valley between the Chic-Chocs mountains and the Appalachians. The lake offers a freshwater area with fetch oriented along the NW-SE valley axis. The setting is magnificent with dense forests and surrounding hills. Wind is often channeled in the valley, offering predictable conditions but sometimes with gusts.
