Wave Beach is a spot on the east shore of Keho Lake, renowned for offering the best wave conditions on the lake. As its name suggests, this is where the chop is most formed and regular.
The east shore receives the full fetch of dominant Chinook winds (west/southwest), creating the most developed waves on the lake. Advanced riders come here for freshwater wave riding. Chop can reach 0.5-1 m in strong Chinooks. Season from May to October.
Sustained and regular chop — the best waves on the lake. Shallow fresh water (18-22°C). Muddy bottom. The full west fetch generates formed waves in sustained Chinook winds. Demanding but rewarding conditions for lake wave riding.
