Overview

Christian Island is a Georgian Bay island, territory of the Beausoleil First Nation. The island offers varied riding conditions depending on wind direction — exposed on the west coast (Georgian Bay fetch) and more sheltered on the east side.

Access by ferry from Cedar Point (Tiny Township). First Nation authorization may be required. Isolated and wild spot for experienced, self-sufficient riders. Check access conditions before planning.

On the water

Georgian Bay — crystal-clear freshwater. Variable conditions depending on chosen shore. West side: open fetch, sustained chop. East side: more sheltered. Rocky and sandy bottom. Cold water (15-19°C in summer).

Hazards

Island accessible only by ferry — plan carefully. First Nation territory — respect local rules. No rescue services on site. Dangerous rocky bottom. Ride only with a buddy and full safety gear.
