Cassie Cape is a kitesurfing spot located on the southeast coast of New Brunswick, near Shediac, in the Northumberland Strait. This sand point offers access to an open body of water with varied conditions depending on wind direction and tides. The spot benefits from prevailing southwesterly and westerly winds, typical of the Acadian coast. The waters of the Northumberland Strait are among the warmest north of Virginia, making summer sailing very pleasant. The sandy bottom and shallow areas provide a safe riding ground. The kitesurfing season runs from June to September. This spot is suitable for intermediate riders. The proximity of Shediac and Parlee Beach offers many services and accommodations.
