Kitesurfing spot in Northern Germany. Wetsuit recommended even in summer. To reach the spot which is to the right of the parking lot, you need to walk for a variable amount of time depending on the tide. Don't leave your belongings on the beach because if the tide rises... bye bye
When the wind is onshore, there are good waves. During rising tide, basins fill up (flat but shallow).
Possibility to foil (no rocks).
Locals mainly ride strapless.
The beginning of the kitesurfing zone, which is huge, starts after the swimming area (marked by buoys).

Hazards
The posts that mark the beginning of the kite zone and the buoys of the swimming area are the main obstacles.
Do not navigate in the swimming area.
Beginners practice kite control at the water's edge, so you need to move away quickly.
Respect the right of way, especially for waves!
Wind specificities
The spot works for most wind directions except when it comes from land (East). With south and southeast winds, it's better to go to the Böhler spot located at the southern entrance of the town. The wind comes in very well on the beach, no wind shadow.
Stay alert to what's happening in the distance because if a squall appears, the wind can become violent and unstable with rain as a bonus.
