Does NOT work well by Tramontane (sheltered by Massif de la Clape — gusty, weak). But when the "Grec" (S/SE wind, Marin) comes in, the spot becomes legendary — flat, regular, beautiful.
Waterstart required (no feet quickly). Multiple access points. Easy put-in. Camping with direct access nearby. 4 km north of Plage des Chalets. Perfect for progression.
Akila Center — Pôle Étang: dedicated to windsurf and wingfoil learning. Courses for children from 6 years, ultra-light rigs (1 m²). Equipment rental. Camping-car area nearby.
Étang water. Shallow near shore but deep quickly (no feet at 10 m). Flat by Marin/Grec — legendary conditions. Choppy/gusty by Tramontane (avoid). Sea urchins west side. Shells/debris. Water shoes mandatory.

Tramontane very unreliable here: sheltered by Massif de la Clape — gusty, weak, unstable by NW. Best by Marin SE, NE or SW. Sea urchins on west side with algae — water shoes mandatory. Shells and debris on bottom — reef shoes essential. Waterstart required (deep quickly at 10 m). Many beginners and schools — keep distance.
Tramontane (NW): AVOID — sheltered by Massif de la Clape, gusty, weak, unstable.
Marin/Grec (SE/S): IDEAL — flat, regular, legendary conditions. When the Marin blows, it's like a Brazilian lagoon.
NE and SW: also works.
Windsurf and wingfoil only — no kitesurf.
