Windjammer park is a great place to go when the wind is from the ESE to the WSW. The wind will be straight on and might be a bit of a challenge for beginners to get off the beach. Setting up, launching and landing is on nicley managaed grass. Be mindful of other park users. Access from the park to the water is easy. Be mindful of the tide.
Open all year round
Beginner
Puget Sound with cold saltwater (7-13°C/45-55°F). A 4/3 to 5/3mm wetsuit recommended. Light to moderate chop depending on wind. Tides influence conditions and rideable area. Sandy to rocky bottom.
Lot's of parking available right at the beach.
The beach is facing south, so the spot only works with southerly winds.
Drift wood on the beach, at high tide this wood may start floating again.
