Snow Mesa is an extreme alpine snowkite spot at 3,747m altitude in the San Juan Mountains. This vast summit plateau above treeline offers exceptional snowkite conditions with powerful multidirectional winds. One of the highest and most committed spots in North America. Backcountry access only.

Extreme altitude 3,747m — severe altitude sickness, pulmonary and cerebral edema possible. Backcountry access only — no quick rescue. Very high avalanche risk on edges. Hypothermia and extreme wind chill. Sudden blizzards with total whiteout. Cornices, cliffs, and treacherous terrain. Extreme UV. Potentially life-threatening conditions — alpine experience required.
