Flattops is a snowkite spot in the Flat Tops Wilderness Area of northwestern Colorado at 2,019m. This elevated plateau offers vast open areas with prevailing southwest to west winds. Pristine wilderness terrain far from civilization.

Very remote wilderness area — no quick rescue. Avalanche risk on slopes. Sudden blizzards with zero visibility. Hypothermia and severe wind chill. Wildlife (elk, mountain lions). Difficult navigation in whiteout conditions.
