Hilltop Hoorah is a kitesurf spot located on Grand Traverse Bay, near Traverse City, Michigan. This spot offers access to the sheltered bay water body in the Leelanau Peninsula area. Grand Traverse Bay is one of Michigan kitesurfers' most cherished water bodies for its crystal-clear waters and regular flat water conditions. Boat traffic in summer with recreational boats and sailboats in the bay. Cold water with hypothermia risk in spring and fall. Violent thunderstorms possible in summer with lightning risk — exit water immediately. Swimmers and kayakers along the shore. Respect marked swimming areas.
