Historically a windsurfing spot, Klagshamn has become a must-visit location for kitesurfing in Sweden, particularly appreciated for its freestyle conditions in easterly winds. The spot has a large grassy area for rigging and launching kites, which is its main asset. The water is moderately deep and relatively flat in easterly winds, offering ideal freestyle conditions. Windsurfers use the western area towards the Öresund Bridge while kitesurfers ride to the east. It is important to respect the coexistence between kitesurfers and windsurfers at this spot. Easterly and southeasterly winds offer the best conditions with flat water, while westerly winds are also rideable but choppier.
