Kegnæs Østerby is a spot on the Kegnæs peninsula, southern tip of Als island. The beach faces south toward the Flensburg Fjord/Baltic. Sandbank about 30 m offshore creating a very shallow area (down to 10 cm). Inside the dam (Lillehavet): perfect flat water for beginners. Outside: waves and currents for experienced riders.

Extremely shallow water (10 cm) can cause unexpected wipeouts. Outside the dam: currents, deep water, waves breaking very close to shore — experienced riders only. Stones and anglers on some beach sections. Mandatory bar management during breaks.
