The Plan des Cavales is a high-altitude snowkite spot at 2692m in the Maurienne valley (Savoie), offering exceptional riding terrain above the tree line. The wide open plateau is exposed to strong winds and provides a spectacular alpine setting.
Access is typically via the ski resorts of the Maurienne or on foot/ski touring. The altitude ensures good snow coverage and consistent winds from West and North-West sectors. A demanding spot reserved for experienced snowkiters comfortable in a high mountain environment.
