Chrysi Akti Beach (Golden Beach) is a spot on the southwest coast of the Peloponnese in Messenia, near Pylos. This beautiful golden sand beach facing west receives the NW Maestro as side-onshore, offering good summer conditions for kitesurfing in a magnificent setting.
Close to the historic Navarino Bay and the Gialova lagoon, Chrysi Akti is part of the Pylos/Navarino spot cluster, one of the best kitesurfing areas in the Peloponnese.
Afternoon sessions with the NW Maestro (May-September). Nice spacious beach for launching. Choose between Gialova lagoon (flat) and open beaches (waves) according to skill level.

Open water, chop and waves in Maestro. Sandy bottom, progressive depth. Crystal-clear, warm water (23-27°C in summer).
Parking along the coastal road near Pylos. Beach with some facilities (tavernas, sunbeds in summer). Pylos a few minutes away offers all services. Kalamata airport 1.5h away.
NW Maestro side-onshore, 12-20 knots in summer. Conditions similar to neighboring Romanos and Gialova spots. W afternoon thermal breeze as supplement. Coast open to Ionian Sea swell.
Coastal currents in strong Maestro. Shore break in swell. Rocks at some beach extremities. Sail in groups on isolated beaches.
