Hamelin Bay is a kitesurfing spot located in the Margaret River region, Western Australia. This magnificent bay is famous for its wild stingrays that come to swim with visitors near the shore. The natural setting is spectacular with turquoise waters and a white sand beach bordered by forests.
The prevailing south to southwest winds blow on this partially protected bay. The bay offers some protection from the main swells, making conditions more accessible than the exposed beaches along the coast. The spot is suited for intermediate riders.
Hamelin Bay has a campground and caravan park. Access is easy from Margaret River. Watch out for stingrays in shallow waters (they are harmless but do not touch them), reefs, and currents at the bay entrance.
