The west-facing spot works as onshore in westerly winds (prevailing in Denmark). This is the opposite of east coast spots (Brøndby, Amager) which work in easterly winds. Copenhagen riders alternate between the east coast and Roskilde Fjord depending on wind direction. The spot also works with north winds.

West and northwest winds enter well into this part of the fjord (onshore on the eastern shore). NE winds also work. The fjord channels winds, sometimes increasing their strength. Good alternative in westerly winds when east coast Zealand spots are offshore.
