Lixouri is a spot on the Paliki peninsula, Kefalonia's west coast. This area facing west/southwest is directly exposed to the Maestro (NW) and westerly winds. The red sand beaches of the Paliki peninsula offer a spectacular setting. The Maestro arrives side-onshore to onshore, with consistent summer conditions. The peninsula is lower than the rest of Kefalonia, limiting turbulence.
