Kitesurf spot at Paspébiac, on the south coast of Gaspésie, in the Baie des Chaleurs. Paspébiac is famous for its Banc-de-Paspébiac Historic Site, a testament to the cod fishing industry. The sandbar (tombolo) creates protected water on one side and exposed water on the other, offering varied conditions. The Baie des Chaleurs offers some of the warmest waters in maritime Quebec. Reference spot between Carleton and Chandler.
Baie des Chaleurs at Paspébiac. Relatively warm salt water (14-18°C in summer). The sandbar offers protected flat water on the inside and chop/waves on the bay side. Moderate tides (1-2m). Sandy bottom. Good fetch southward across the Baie des Chaleurs (20+ km toward New Brunswick).

Currents around the sandbar. The tombolo can be submerged at high tide — check schedules. Protected historic site — respect heritage infrastructure. Water can be cold outside July-August. Recreational boating in the bay.
