CCIW (Canada Centre for Inland Waters) is a spot in Burlington at Lake Ontario's western end. The beach faces east/northeast toward the open lake. Close to the Burlington Skyway Bridge, it offers a semi-industrial but functional setting for riding.
Parking near the research centre. Launch on a narrow beach. East and northeast winds offer best conditions with good fetch across Lake Ontario.

Proximity to Skyway Bridge and Hamilton Harbour entrance channel — marine traffic. Do not ride too close to harbour structures. Semi-industrial area — possible submerged structures. Cold water in spring.
