Musselroe Bay is a kitesurfing spot located at the far northeast tip of Tasmania. This isolated bay offers a wild and preserved setting for kitesurfing, far from any urbanization. It is one of the most remote spots in Tasmania.
The prevailing wind comes from the northwest to north in summer. The bay offers some protection but waves from the Bass Strait can enter. The bottom is sandy and the water is cold but slightly warmer than the west coast.
The spot is suited for intermediate to advanced riders due to its total isolation. No rescue services nearby. Access is via an unsealed road. Complete self-sufficiency required. This is a spot for adventurers seeking solitude.
