Kołobrzeg Plaża Zachodnia (west beach) is the western section of the Kołobrzeg beach, one of the largest seaside resorts on the Polish Baltic coast. This part of the beach is generally more suited for kitesurfing. The sandy beach is wide and faces north, towards the Baltic. Conditions are typical: chop and waves in north winds, side-shore in west winds. The bottom is sandy and gradual. West to northwest winds offer the best conditions. The west beach is generally less crowded with swimmers than the central beach, leaving more space for sailing.
