Falsterbo Kanalen is one of the most renowned kitesurfing spots in Scania (Skåne), located on the Falsterbo peninsula, southwest of Malmö. The spot is situated along the Falsterbo Canal, offering a unique body of water between the Baltic Sea and the Öresund. Falsterbo beach stretches over 4.5 kilometers and is often considered the most beautiful beach in Sweden, with fine sand and pine-bordered dunes. The sandy bottom and gradual depth make the spot accessible to beginners, while the more exposed conditions offshore satisfy experienced riders. The spot works well with west and southwest winds in sideshore, but also offers interesting conditions with east winds and a relatively flat body of water. Kitesurfing has a dedicated zone on the beach. The season runs from March to November. Falsterbo is located in a nature reserve offering a magnificent setting. The area is also known for migrating bird watching. Restrictions may apply during nesting periods.
