Overview

La Grande Escoure is a kitesurf spot on the northern Bassin d'Arcachon (Gironde), near Lège-Cap-Ferret. This inner basin shore catches the dominant South-West to North-West winds in the sheltered bay. Flat water conditions.

Tidal spot with large tidal range. A quieter spot on the northern basin shore, away from the busier Arcachon town area. Oyster farming zones present — stay attentive to stakes and boat traffic. Good flat water riding in a natural Landes forest setting.
