Overview

Egå is a spot north of Aarhus, on the east coast of Jutland, in Aarhus Bay facing the Kattegat. Shallow area of about 250 x 1000 m. Frontal wind type, best in spring and autumn. Yacht club at the south end. Ideal for freeride and freestyle in Kattegat chop conditions.

Flat to choppy water. Shallow area of about 250 x 1000 m. Chop increases in sustained east/NE winds. Sandy bottom. Clean water.

Hazards

Boat traffic in the Kattegat — watch for ferries and ships. Mole (breakwater) at the harbour. Yacht club at the south end — stay outside its area. Swimmers in summer.
