Hel Otwarte Morze ("Hel Open Sea") is the Baltic Sea side spot of the town of Hel, at the tip of the peninsula. Unlike the bay-side spots, this one offers open sea conditions. The sandy beach faces north, directly exposed to the Baltic. Conditions can be challenging: waves, chop, and current in north winds. This is a spot for experienced riders looking for more sporty conditions. Northwest to northeast winds offer the best conditions for wave riding. It is an excellent complement to the flat water spots of Puck Bay, accessible just a few hundred meters away.
