Bloody Point is a kitesurfing spot at the southern tip of Kent Island, on Maryland's Eastern Shore. This promontory offers an exposed position in the Chesapeake Bay with excellent fetch in multiple directions. The historic name comes from a colonial-era battle. The tip position offers excellent wind conditions and a 180-degree panorama of the bay. It's one of the windiest spots on the Chesapeake Bay thanks to its advanced position.
Chesapeake Bay with excellent multi-directional fetch. Moderate to sustained chop depending on wind. Brackish water. Very exposed position at the peninsula tip. Sandy bottom. Moderate tidal range. Wind conditions often better than elsewhere in the bay.
