Kirinda is a fishing village on the southeast coast of Sri Lanka in Southern Province, near Yala National Park. The beach faces south-southeast and can receive both SW monsoon (May-October) and NE monsoon winds.
An intermediate to advanced spot. The area is remote with limited tourist infrastructure. Sandy beach with some rocky areas. Waves can be significant on the exposed coast. Strong currents possible. The proximity to Yala National Park makes it an interesting combination destination. Watch for fishing boats and nets. Very few kiters use this spot, making it uncrowded but also without rescue options.
Open all year round
Intermediate
