Tahua Paopao Karoro Island is a kitesurfing spot located in the Far North of Northland, on the west coast near Ninety Mile Beach. This spot is situated near a sandy island in the coastal area. Westerly to northwesterly winds are onshore from the Tasman Sea. Southwesterly winds work as side-shore. The area is exposed to swell. The environment is wild and isolated. Spot for intermediate to advanced riders.
