Bukhta Kit (Whale Bay) is a kitesurfing spot on the east coast of Primorsky Krai, facing the Sea of Japan. The name refers to the whale-like shape of the bay. The spot is far from Vladivostok, in a relatively remote area.
The bay offers a semi-sheltered water body. The beach is sandy. The spot is exposed to east and southeast winds from the Sea of Japan.
Prevailing winds come from the southeast and east in summer. Season runs from June to September. Water is cold (12-20°C), wetsuit required. Spot for intermediate to advanced riders, relatively remote.
