Greifenstein is a kitesurf spot on the Danube, located in Lower Austria north-west of Vienna. The spot is on a branch of the Danube near Greifenstein fortress. The water body is relatively narrow, requiring good technical skills. The prevailing winds are from the west to north-west. The spot is a good alternative for Viennese riders when conditions aren't ideal on the Neue Donau.
