North Rustico is a kitesurf spot located on the north coast of Prince Edward Island, in the heart of Prince Edward Island National Park. This picturesque fishing village offers a magnificent setting with red sandstone cliffs, golden sandy beaches and a lively harbour. Rustico harbour offers flat water conditions in warm, shallow water, ideal for progression. The prevailing southwest and westerly winds are regular in summer. The bay is partially sheltered, which reduces chop and offers more stable conditions than the exposed beaches. PEI Kiteboarding, based in the nearby Cavendish area, offers certified lessons with PASA instructors on the region's flat water bays. The season runs from June to September, with the best conditions from July to August. North Rustico is an excellent spot for intermediate kitesurfers looking to progress in a safe environment.
