Laggeri Kitebeach is a kite spot on the north coast of Paros, just west of Santa Maria, near the island's northern cape. This north-facing beach is perfectly exposed to the N/NNE Meltemi directly onshore. The spot is dedicated to kitesurfing with a well-defined riding area, less swimmer cohabitation than at Santa Maria. The setting is wilder and more isolated, with clear views of the Aegean Sea and the northern Cycladic islands.
Laggeri works with the N/NNE Meltemi onshore. Beach dedicated to kitesurfing — fewer conflicts with swimmers. Open riding area to the north. Onshore wind ensures safety. Short powerful chop. No major kite center — self-sufficient riders. Works from June to September.
Open all year round
Intermediate
Aegean Sea north coast, 21-25°C (slightly cooler). 2mm shorty recommended. Sand/rock bottom. Short powerful chop in onshore Meltemi. Current possible along the cape.
Parking by the track to Laggeri. Access via the north coast road from Naoussa. Partly unpaved road. Few facilities on site.
N/NNE Meltemi directly onshore on this north coast. Maximum wind exposure — no obstacle between the spot and the northern Cyclades. 18-28 knots in summer, among the windiest on Paros thanks to the northern cape position. Wind can be reinforced by the cape wrap-around effect. Very reliable season from June to September.
Meltemi can exceed 28 knots. Short powerful chop. Rocks at the northern cape. Current along the cape. Semi-isolated spot. Strong sun exposure.
