Overview

Burlington Surf Club is a spot on the Burlington waterfront, Vermont's largest city, on the shores of Lake Champlain. It's the most accessible and popular spot in the area, with views of the Adirondack Mountains across the lake. The lake offers excellent fetch for kitesurfing.

Lake water with chop in sustained winds. Excellent fetch along the lake's north-south axis. Freshwater. Season from May to October. Rocky and sandy bottom depending on area.

Hazards

Heavy boat traffic on Burlington's waterfront in summer. Rocks along the shore. Summer thunderstorms — monitor weather. Swimming and walking areas to respect. Cold water in spring and fall.
