La Turballe is a kitesurf spot on the Loire-Atlantique coast north of La Baule, facing the open Atlantic. Southwest to northwest dominant winds. Intermediate level on a sandy beach with moderate swell. Good alternative when La Baule is too crowded.
Southwest-facing bay with moderate swell in south to northwest conditions. Sandy bottom, tidal range significant. More sheltered than the fully exposed Atlantic beaches south of La Baule.

South to northwest winds all work well on this southwest-facing beach. South and southwest give cross-onshore conditions. Northwest arrives slightly offshore — check angle carefully. Good complement to La Baule in south wind conditions.
