Zandvoort is the classic "Amsterdam beach" kitespot, 30 minutes by direct train from Amsterdam Central. Long sandy beach with consistent SW–NNW winds and steady conditions. Unlike busier Noord-Holland spots, Zandvoort rarely gets overcrowded at the kite zone.
Host of prestigious events including Red Bull Megaloop and GKA competitions. Rip currents visible by wave patterns — stay aware. Surf school and rentals: Surfana. Beach clubs: Rapa Nui, The Spot (with regular kite-friendly parties). Accommodation available directly next to the spot.

Navigate to 'strandpaviljoen de Zilvermeeuw' for the south kite beach (recommended). NKV zone on site. Paid beach parking or arrive by train (Zandvoort aan Zee station, 5 min walk to beach). GPS: Zandvoort aan Zee beach, Noord-Holland. Access via A9 exit Zandvoort.
North Sea — choppy to medium waves. Rip currents possible. Tidal range. Cold year-round: 3/2mm summer, 5/4mm winter. Good wave riding. Year-round.

Several paid car parks in Zandvoort. For the south kite zone, navigate to strandpaviljoen 'de Zilvermeeuw'. Reasonable walk to the beach.
Rip currents present — identifiable by chop/wave patterns. Kitesurfing only permitted 1 April–1 October in the designated zone. Check zone markers carefully before rigging. Busy beach in summer.
SW/W/NW/N onshore. SW dominant. Steady sea breeze. Year-round. Best Oct–Mar. Red Bull Megaloop kite event held here annually. Easy by train from Amsterdam — no car needed.
