Lyngvig Beach is a North Sea coast beach, 6 km north of Hvide Sande, at the foot of Lyngvig Fyr lighthouse. Open North Sea beach spot — powerful conditions with strong currents and waves. Experienced riders prefer the Hvide Sande mole (6 km south). For flat water, Ringkøbing Fjord is accessible in a few minutes by road.
Open all year round

North Sea side: chop to medium waves, short-period wind swell. Strong currents and rip currents. Max temperature 17°C — thick wetsuit always required. Fjord side (across Holmsland Klit): flat, shallow water.
Strong currents and potentially life-threatening rip currents along the entire North Sea coast. No specific rescue services. Easterly winds blow offshore towards the open sea — extremely dangerous. The Hvide Sande mole (6 km south) is the only recommended North Sea spot as the jetties organize the swell.
