This spot is on the Ob River in Nizhnevartovsk, in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (Yugra), Western Siberia. Nizhnevartovsk is a major oil city on the banks of the Ob.
The Ob River is very wide in this section, offering a vast freshwater body for riding. Banks are sandy in summer. Bottom is sandy and water is shallow near the shore.
Season is short due to Siberian continental climate, June to early September. Water is cold to cool (14-20°C). Winds are variable, often from south and west. Wetsuit recommended. Spot suited for intermediate riders.
