Luna Pier is a kitesurf spot located on the western shore of Lake Erie, in extreme southeastern Michigan, near the Ohio border. This small town offers access to Lake Erie from a historic pier. Lake Erie, the warmest and shallowest of the Great Lakes, provides accessible kitesurfing conditions. East and northeast winds generate waves. The proximity to Toledo, Ohio, brings a regional rider community.

Water warms quickly in summer, allowing riding in a shorty from June to September. Sandy and muddy bottom. Shallow waters create steep, closely-spaced waves in strong winds.
