The Cove is a kitesurfing spot in south Seattle, on the shores of Puget Sound. This cove offers a partially sheltered body of water influenced by tides. The spot works with south to southwest winds. Urban industrial setting near the mouth of the Duwamish River. Conditions are suited for intermediate riders with flat water to moderate chop.
Puget Sound with cold saltwater (8-14°C/46-57°F). A 4/3 to 5/3mm wetsuit recommended. Flat water to moderate chop. Tidal currents influence conditions. Muddy to sandy bottom. Water potentially murky near the Duwamish mouth.
