St. Margarets Bay offers semi-protected waters with a good balance between shelter and wind exposure. The spot benefits from south and southwest winds funneling up the bay. Submerged rocks and outcrops in the bay. Boat traffic (recreational and fishing). Cold water — wetsuit needed year-round. Tidal currents possible. Frequent summer fog.
