Kitesurfing spot on the Richelieu River at Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, in the Montérégie region. "Chez PHIL" is a launch site recognized by the local kitesurfing community. The river offers a section wide enough for sailing.
The Richelieu River flows south to north from Lake Champlain. At Saint-Antoine, it meanders through an agricultural valley, with low banks that allow the dominant southwest winds through. Spot frequented by kiters from the Montreal and Montérégie area. Season from June to September.

River water body with moderate current. Warm fresh water in summer (20-24°C). Muddy bottom. Short chop when wind opposes current. Limited navigable width — stay in the practice area. Watch for depth variations.
Constant river current, watch for drift. Recreational boat traffic on the Richelieu River. Limited width of navigable area. Possible submerged obstacles (rocks, stumps). Access on private land — respect the site and landowners.
