Electric Lake is a kitesurf spot on a high-mountain reservoir at 2,608m elevation in the Manti-La Sal National Forest, on Skyline Drive in central Utah. This isolated lake offers a spectacular setting surrounded by snow-capped peaks and aspen forests. Crystal-clear and very cold water. Winds channeled by the ridge. Short season from June to September due to extreme altitude. Access via unpaved mountain road.
Crystal-clear high-mountain freshwater. Water temperature from 0°C in winter (frozen 8 months) to 14°C in summer. Rocky bottom. Variable chop. Full 5/3 wetsuit essential even in summer. Extreme altitude 2,608m.

Total isolation: no rescue services, no cell coverage. Unpaved and dangerous access road. Elk and black bears in the area. Advanced and self-sufficient riders only.
