The inlet offers ideal flatwater conditions for beginners, while the ocean beach suits more experienced riders. The spot is particularly pleasant in summer with thermal breezes. Mallacoota is an isolated village accessible via a winding road. Services are basic but sufficient. Parking is available near the inlet and the beach. Watch out for currents at the inlet mouth.
