Yanakie is a kitesurf spot located at the entrance of Wilsons Promontory National Park, in South Gippsland, Victoria. This spot offers access to Corner Inlet, a vast shallow and sheltered body of water, ideal for beginners and intermediate riders. The dominant southwest winds blow regularly over this body of water. The inlet offers flatwater conditions protected from ocean waves, with vast shallow areas at low tide. Summer thermal breezes provide reliable sessions. Yanakie is a small village with limited services, mainly a gateway to Wilsons Promontory. Parking is available by the water. Watch out for mangrove areas and sandbanks.
