Bondi Beach is the most famous beach in Australia, located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales. This iconic crescent-shaped beach attracts millions of visitors each year and offers a spectacular setting between cliffs and the Pacific Ocean. WARNING: kitesurfing is prohibited at Bondi Beach and on all beaches of the Randwick and Waverley municipalities. This ban applies at all times, even outside lifeguard hours. Offenders face fines. For kitesurfing in the Sydney area, head to Kurnell, Long Reef or Botany Bay. Bondi remains however a world-renowned surf spot, with consistent waves in northeast and southeast swells. The beach is patrolled year-round by the famous Bondi lifeguards. Many amenities, restaurants and public transport nearby.
