Birling Gap is a spectacular site in East Sussex, at the foot of the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs. Pebble beach facing south towards the English Channel. Exceptional setting but limited access and space. National Trust.

Very unstable chalk cliffs — frequent and fatal collapses. Pebbles. High tide covers the entire beach. Very limited space. No safe sailing at high tide.
